OSPF Area Type 整理

1. Standard Area



Type-1&2 不能跨越Area
Type-3   由ABR發出
Type-4   由ABR發出,指出ASBR的Router ID
Type-5   由ASBR發出,宣告外部網段


2. Stub Area


Type-1&2 不能跨Area
Type-3   由ABR發出,也發出Type-3的Dafault Route
Type-4   ABR被禁止發出
Type-5   由ASBR發出,宣告外部網段,但禁止跨越Area


3. Totally Stub Area


Type-1&2 不能跨Area
Type-3   只由ABR發出Type-3的Dafault Route
Type-4   ABR被禁止發出
Type-5   ASBR被禁止發出


4. NSSA Area


Type-1&2 不能跨Area
Type-3   由ABR發出
Type-4   ABR被禁止發出
Type-5   由ASBR發出
Type-7   由ASBR發出,幾乎很像 Type-5,只是Type-5 LSA會傳遞在整個OSPF AS中,而Type-7只會傳遞在NSSA中.


5. NSSA Totally Stub Area


Type-1&2 不能跨Area
Type-3   只由ABR發出Type-3的Dafault Route
Type-4   ABR被禁止發出
Type-5   由ASBR發出
Type-7   由ASBR發出,幾乎很像 Type-5,只是Type-5 LSA會傳遞在整個OSPF AS中,而Type-7只會傳遞在NSSA中.


整理:
Stub Area:
禁止Type 4,5

Totally Stub Area:
禁止Type 3,4,5
只有Default route(Type-3)

NSSA area:
禁止Type 4,5
Type-5會被ABR轉成Type-7

NSSA Totally Stub Area:
禁止Type 3,4,5
只有Default route(Type-3)
Type-5會被ABR轉成Type-7
